What C-10 / C-11 / C-12 Means
C-10, C-11 and C-12 are Samsung’s gas, easy and PH sensor errors on its US microwave article - the sensor group the microwave uses to judge how food is cooking, not a temperature reading. Samsung’s recommended action on this article is the same for its error codes generally: power the unit off, wait, then have it serviced if the code returns.
Common Causes of C-10 / C-11 / C-12
- Sensor circuit problem
- Connector to the sensor loose or corroded
- Steam or condensation reaching the sensor or its wiring
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Unplug the microwave or switch it off at the breaker for about 60 seconds. If the cavity or keypad was wet or steamed, let it dry fully before restoring power. Restart and run a short test heat; if C-10, C-11 or C-12 returns, the sensor itself needs testing.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The gas and humidity sensors sit inside the cavity housing near the magnetron’s high-voltage circuit, and that area is opened by a technician with the capacitor discharged first.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
