What TE Means
TE is the touch communication error on Samsung’s US microwave article: the touch control panel is not communicating properly with the main control board. On a Samsung dishwasher tE is an unrelated temperature-sensor problem, a different code on a different appliance despite the similar letters.

- Loose ribbon connector between the touch panel and the main board
- Touch panel controller problem

Power the microwave off for about 60 seconds, then restart and see if TE clears. If it returns, the touch panel connection or the panel itself needs testing.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The touch panel connects behind the front control panel next to the microwave’s wiring, and opening that panel is a technician job.
