What OC Means
OC is the overflow code on Samsung’s WD53DBA900H-series Bespoke AI Laundry Combo service manual: there is more water in the machine than the cycle allows, most often because the water level sensor or its wiring is not reporting the level correctly, or because a clogged or kinked drain hose is confusing the level reading.
Common Causes of OC
- Water level sensor or its wiring not reporting correctly
- Drain hose kinked, clogged or sealed airtight, confusing the level reading
- Inlet valve not closing fully
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
If water is still rising, close both supply taps first and then switch the Laundry Combo off at the wall; that stops the fill regardless of the cause. Once safe, check that the drain hose is not kinked and is not sealed airtight into the standpipe. If the machine overflows again on the next cycle with the hose correct, the water level sensor or the inlet valve needs a technician’s test.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- A valve that sticks open risks flooding the next time it sticks; replacing it means the supply isolated and the cabinet open, not a watchful eye.
