What AP Means
AP on a Samsung dishwasher means Access Point mode, per Samsung’s US article: the dishwasher is broadcasting so that it can be connected to a mobile device through the app. It is not an error. Samsung’s instruction if you were not trying to connect it is to turn the dishwasher off and back on.

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
If you are pairing the dishwasher with the SmartThings app, finish the pairing and the display returns to normal. If not, switch the dishwasher off and on again. The mode is entered by a button hold on the panel, which is easy to do while wiping the controls.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Nothing is wrong; a service visit for AP would be spent turning the dishwasher off and on.
Opening a panel to inspect or repair something yourself doesn't automatically cancel your manufacturer's warranty — but it can risk accidental damage, and some manufacturers do have specific service conditions. Check your product's warranty terms, or ask us, before deciding.
