What dC3 Means
dC3 on the DW80T5040US-series service manual is the Auto Door Open error: at the end of a cycle the control tries several times to sense the door opening on its own for the automatic-release drying step, and stores dC3 when it cannot confirm the door opened. This applies only to Samsung dishwasher models with the Auto Release Door drying feature. On a Samsung washer, dC3 (as ddC / dC3) is an unrelated Add Door error, a different code on a different appliance despite the identical characters.
