What 5C Means
5C is the drainage code on Samsung’s WD90F53AVS/US Laundry Combo service manual: the combo is not draining properly. Samsung’s manual notes that 5C can also appear if the Condenser Cleaning function is run without the water supply hose connected.
Common Causes of 5C
- Drain filter clogged
- Drain hose kinked or blocked
- Condenser Cleaning run without the water supply hose connected
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Clean the drain filter, then tap Start to restart the cycle. If that does not clear it, turn the Laundry Combo off, wait two to three minutes, and turn it back on before trying again. If you were running Condenser Cleaning, check that the water supply hose is connected before restarting.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If clearing the filter and checking the hoses does not stop 5C, the drain pump needs a technician’s test.
