What SDC Means
SDC is the auto-dispense drawer door error on Samsung’s WD53DBA900H-series Bespoke AI Laundry Combo service manual: the door lock switch for the detergent drawer housing is not confirming closed and locked, whether from wiring connected incorrectly, a broken switch terminal, the drawer being pulled by force, or a main board problem. It is separate from DC and DC1, which cover the main wash door.
Common Causes of SDC
- Drawer not fully seated or something caught in its opening
- Drawer door lock switch terminal connected incorrectly or broken
- Drawer pulled or forced open
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Push the auto-dispense drawer firmly closed until it clicks and restart. Check that nothing is caught in the drawer opening that would stop it from seating. If SDC returns with the drawer closing cleanly, the drawer’s own lock switch needs a technician’s test.
