What TC5 / TC7 / TC8 / TCA / TCB Means
TC5, TC7, TC8, TCA and TCB are heat pump refrigerant-circuit thermistor errors on Samsung’s WD53DBA900H-series Bespoke AI Laundry Combo service manual: TC5 is the discharge refrigerant thermistor, TC7 and TC8 are the evaporator inlet and outlet thermistors, TCA is the compressor top thermistor, and TCB is the heater thermistor, each reporting a resistance outside its expected range. All five sit on the sealed heat pump system that dries clothing without a vent.

- Named thermistor reading open, shorted or out of range
- Loose connector at the named thermistor
