What CE Means
CE is the communication error on Samsung’s US dishwasher article: the dishwasher’s boards are not talking to each other. Samsung’s step is to turn the dishwasher off and try to start it again. On a Samsung washer CE means the hot and cold supply hoses are swapped, so the letters do not carry across.
Common Causes of CE
- Momentary problem after a power disturbance
- Connector in the door harness loose or corroded
- Display or main board failed

Turn the dishwasher off, wait a minute, turn it on and start a cycle. If CE returns, Samsung’s article offers no further owner step, and the display board, main board or the harness through the door hinge needs a technician.

- The door harness and boards are reached with the door panel off and the power isolated; deciding which side failed is a measurement.
