What bE / bE2 / 6E Means
bE, bE2, bC2, 6E, 6E2 and 6C2 are the jammed button group on Samsung’s US dryer article: a panel button is detected as stuck or continuously pressed. On a Samsung washer the plain bE means the motor speed sensor, so the dryer meaning stays with the dryer.
Common Causes of bE / bE2 / 6E
- Button held down by residue or a damaged overlay
- Membrane switch stuck closed
- Control board reading a key as pressed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
With the dryer powered off, press and release each button on the panel individually, working the edges so anything holding a key down is freed, then power on and start a cycle. If a button is visibly damaged or the code returns with the panel clean, Samsung’s instruction is service for the membrane or board.
