What ddC / dC3 Means
ddC and dC3 are the Add Door error on Samsung’s US washer article: the small mid-cycle Add Door on models that have one is not detected as closed and locked. It is separate from the main door code, and Samsung’s steps are the same latch checks aimed at that small door.

- Laundry caught in the Add Door frame
- Add Door latch or its sensor damaged
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
With the cycle paused, open the Add Door fully, remove any item that slipped between it and its frame, and press it closed until it latches with a click. Restart the cycle. If the door sits flush and the code persists, or the small latch looks broken, Samsung’s instruction is to request service.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- The Add Door lock is part of the main door assembly and its sensor wiring runs through the door; replacing it is a door-off job.
