What 4C2 Means
4C2 is a specific water-supply code on Samsung’s WD90F53AVS/US Laundry Combo service manual: the water arriving is too hot for the load, which Samsung’s manual ties to the hot and cold supply hoses being connected to the wrong faucets.
Common Causes of 4C2
- Hot and cold water supply hoses connected to the wrong faucets
- A household water heater set too high for the supply line
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Turn off both faucets and check that the hot supply hose is connected to the hot faucet and the cold supply hose to the cold faucet, then tap Start to restart. If 4C2 continues with the hoses correctly connected, turn the Laundry Combo off, wait two to three minutes, and turn it back on before trying again.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If the hoses are confirmed correct and 4C2 still will not clear, the water inlet valve needs a technician’s test.
