What DC1 Means
DC1 is the door-lock code on Samsung’s WD90F53AVS/US Laundry Combo service manual: the door switch that locks and unlocks the door is not working correctly.
Common Causes of DC1
- Foreign material around the door seal keeping it from sensing closed
- Door lock switch failing
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Check around the door gasket for anything caught in it, then push the door firmly closed and try again. Turn the Laundry Combo off, wait two to three minutes, and turn it back on before trying again.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- If the door area is clear and DC1 keeps appearing, the door lock switch itself needs a technician’s replacement.
