What Ice Off blinking Means
A blinking Ice Off indicator means, per Samsung’s US article, that the ice bucket is not inserted correctly or is not inserted at all. It is a seating notice, not an ice-maker failure.
Common Causes of Ice Off blinking
- Ice bucket removed and not replaced
- Bucket pushed in at an angle or blocked by spilled ice behind it
- Bucket detection switch not registering a seated bucket
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
With the freezer or ice-room door open, pull the ice bucket fully out, tip out any loose ice that has spilled behind it, and slide it back in until it seats squarely and stops flush; on models with a locking lever, make sure it is set. The blinking should stop once the bucket is detected. If it keeps blinking with the bucket clearly home, the bucket switch or the ice maker itself needs checking.
