Ct during the vent blockage test means the dryer’s surroundings are below freezing or above 104 degrees Fahrenheit, outside the range in which the test can measure airflow reliably, per Samsung’s US dryer article. Samsung’s step is to wait an hour at room temperature and try again, requesting service only if Ct continues.

- Dryer installed in an unheated or very hot space
- Test run straight after a hot cycle
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
If the dryer is in a garage or utility room that is very cold or very hot, bring the space nearer to room temperature or wait for it to moderate, give the dryer an hour, and run the test again. It is a condition for the test, not an error in the dryer, unless it persists at normal room temperature.

- No part is at problem; only a Ct at normal room temperature suggests a thermistor problem worth testing.
