What AC / AE / Et Means
AC, Et, AE, EEE, AE4, AE3, AE5, E3 and 1 AC are Samsung’s communication error group on the US dryer article: the dryer’s internal parts cannot communicate with each other. Samsung’s step is to shut the dryer off for sixty seconds and turn it back on.
Common Causes of AC / AE / Et
- Momentary problem after a power disturbance
- Connector between the display and main board loose
- Display or main board failed
🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Switch the dryer off, wait a full minute, switch it on and start a cycle. If the code returns, Samsung’s instruction is service; a returning communication problem means a board or the harness between boards, and neither is an owner check.
⚠ Why You Shouldn't Go Further Than That
- Both boards are behind the panel with mains present; deciding which has failed is a measurement, not a guess.
