On a gas dryer like the DVG45T6000, the igniter glows, the flame sensor opens the gas valve coils and the burner lights; a drum that turns with no heat is traced through those three parts in that order, with the gas supply confirmed shut at the appliance valve before the burner housing is opened.
Samsung built a vent test into the DVG45T6000 whose results – Clg, C80, C90 – read like codes but are measurements of how blocked the duct is, and we run it before and after clearing the duct so the fix is confirmed, not assumed.
